After graduating from the Bosphorous University, Istanbul in 1974, she began her art career in 1989 and studied with several instructors at workshops in Turkey, the USA and Europe. She has attended seminars on the History of Modern Art and Modeled Figure Drawing classes. Selva currently lives and works in Istanbul. She is currently writing a series of articles about 20th century American Artists, published in TOMBAK, a bimonthly arts magazine. Having had many shows in Istanbul her most recent exhibition "Subterranean Voice" was at the Ward Nasse Gallery, New York in 1998. |
